  • Managing Difficult Behaviors in Young Children
    This audio-conference was presented on September 12, 2002 by national pediatric and child care experts. These experts identified common types of difficult behaviors that occur in child care and offered effective recommendations for caregivers, parents and pediatricians. The live audience for the audio conference included Pediatricians, Family Physicians and ECELS Health Consultants. Early educators will find the discussion relevant.
  • Keystone STARS - What is it? How do I find out more information?
    The PA Keystone STARS program encourages professional development and provides incentives for Pennsylvania early education and child care programs to improve the quality of their programs.
  • Quality Active Play
    A panel of experts from state agencies, and the private sector discuss how to incorporate technically accurate safety guidelines/standards into developmentally appropriate early education and child care program operation. Panelists include Betsy Caesar (President of Playcare Inc., and trainer of Certified Playground Safety Inspectors), Tamea Beers-Franklin (PA Department of Public Welfare, Bureau of Child Day Care Services), Michelle Bossers M.Ed (Project Manager - Keystone Stars Environmental Rating Scale Assessment).
