This federally-funded center (NRC) was established by the Maternal and Child Health Bureau. It is the home of Caring for Our Children, National Health and Safety Performance Standards: Guidelines for Out-of-Home Child Care. This key national reference document provides standards, rationale, and evidence for guidelines for out-of-home child care. It is available in print and on the Internet. The NRC is also the home of updated child care regulations for every state, as well as updated information on health and safety in group settings. Questions not found easily on the NRC website can be addressed to NRC staff who can access a network of national experts to respond. - Healthy Child Care America
The national website of Healthy Child Care America. A great source of information about news and "best practices" from state and national early education and care professionals and advocates. - Healthy Kids, Healthy Care

It is filled with information, links to posters and other materials that are equally valuable for teachers and other caregivers. The categories of information are Caregivers, Cleanliness, Emotional Health, Healthy Habits, Illness/Chronic Conditions/Special Needs, and Safety. In each category, there are 4-8 topics with tabs for Key Questions, Want to Know More, How to Help Your Caregiver, Additional Resources, and Help to navigate the site. - National Training Institute for Child Care Health Consultants
