- California Child Care Health Program
This regularly updated website includes health and safety obseration and policy checklists, lesson plans for health professionals to teach health and safety to early education and child care providers, fact sheets, posters and information packets, as well as content-rich newsletters for providers and health consultants. The Asthma, Oral Health, and Lead Poisoning modules are rich resources. The module on asthma includes a downloadable video that is specific to management of this health problem in child care, as well as posters on triggers and handling asthma emergencies in the group care setting. This website includes handy forms and links to other resources for the care of children with asthma. The "Daily Asthma/Allergy Communication" forms are posted on the website in English and Spanish. These forms help families and child care providers exchange information easily when the child is having symptoms at home or in the program. Other forms on the website help health professionals to communicate their recommendations for the child's care to families and other caregivers.
