To submit self-learning modules and receive state-authorized credit, you must obtain the materials and complete the tasks specified in the module. ECELS must receive a check for $10 for each person seeking credit made out to the PA Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics before reviewing any module. Any hard-copy materials that the self-learning module requires may be obtained either by : 1) clicking on the phrase, "Available for Ordering" to the right of the Title of the self-learning module or 2) clicking on "Request Self-Learning Module" in the left pane of this page. Complete the form that appears on the screen. Download the paperwork for modules that are completely online.
You can request a maximum of 3 self-learning modules. ECELS will not send you other modules until you complete and return the required materials for the modules that you have already received. Three of the modules include viewing videos that must be returned within 10 working days: Transportation Safety “Are We There Yet”, Food Allergy, and Managing Challenging Behaviors in Young Children.
To receive Professional Development credit, the learner must send ECELS the documentation to show that the required learning tasks were successfully completed. Processing of self-learning modules and posting of credit on the PA Keys website may take 6-8 weeks after submission for review. ECELS will provide technical assistance by an instructor when material submitted indicates that help is required to achieve the required learning. Once satisfactory completion is accomplished, ECELS will send an e-mail advising the learner to access and print a certificate from the PA Key.
Be sure to complete a separate Registration Form for each person and include the $10.00 per person co-pay for review of completed modules. For additional information you may contact ECELS at 800-243-2357 or 484-446-3003, or by email [email protected].
